I’d like to start by taking this oppotunity for some ownership and humility. Over the last few years, I have not given my Local or my Department my best. I have better to offer to you all and to myself, and I intend to continue to bring my best as much as I possibly can.
In regards to my nomination for E-board, my stance stays much the same as it has in the past. I believe in representative governance. I will and do always accept the nomination. If my fellow members find that I would best represent them in the concerns of our Local, I will be honored to do my absolute best in the position.
I take our contract seriously. The power in that document and the processes around it are not to be taken lightly. I also believe heavily in the power of relationships. I have and will continue to work hard on building relationships that reflect well on our Local. As we move forward with the next administration, I believe our relationships will hold the keys to success. I also value our presence in the community. I take pride in the way I am able to represent my Local and my department in the community. This is a value I would carry into my time as an Eboard member.
